world with his camera before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in
2002. It was in Florida that Gary met his other true love, Charmaine,
a native Torontonian. Gary moved to Toronto in 2003.

The peaceful and beautiful side of life all around us is often overlooked in our “hurry-up society”. So I attempt to share some of it with you through pictures that speak to the human experience through hand painting and toning of some of my pieces. I hope that my images relate a sense of peace to you or possibly invoke pleasant memories for your enjoyment and pleasure.

Born in England, Toronto photographer Steven Crainford has been taking photographs since he was a teeneger. He become more seriously involved in 1991 when he descovered the view camera. From then until 2003, he used this camera and black and white film exclusively. In 2003, he made the switch to digital photography and now uses this medium exclusivly both for taking and printing his images.
