Irina Rapaport is a mixed media artist; she has been a craft artist for over 20 years…(see www.woodenzoo.com for previous craft). She started making jewellery in 2005 and is mainly self-taught. Trained in architecture, Irina draws her influences largely from patterns, geometry and textures. Space and the 3rd dimension are an integral part of her design concept. The artist is recognized for the simplicity of elements she is able to distil in her work. The sculptural quality of her wearable art makes each piece a one-of-a-kind art jewellery object.
